Store Your Manuscript in Style!

It’s been a long time coming but it’s finally arrived – a 3-inch deep Drop Front Box to hold 8-1/2 x 11 photographs, prints, and documents!

This Black 8-3/4 x 11-1/4 x 3″ Drop Front Box – #01-132 – is holding one ream (500 sheets) of 20 lb. standard copy paper. There is room to hold up to 700 sheets of this paper!

The Metal Edge Drop Front Box is our go to for storing 8 x 10″ and larger photos and papers. We offer them in two depths – 1-1/2″ and 3″ – and three colors – black, tan, and gray. The “drop front” refers to the fact that two corners on the base of the box are not attached with the metal edging. You can easily fold this edge down to allow easy access to the box contents.

When you have a snug fit and are dealing with paper artifacts, this is extremely useful. You can slide contents out of the box gently and avoid damaging the edges and corners.

The new 8-3/4 x 11-1/4″ 3-inch deep Drop Front Box comes in gray, tan, and black options.

So, if you’ve just finished writing the world’s next best-selling novel or your memoir to pass on to your children, this is the perfect box for long-term storage. To ensure it lasts as long as possible, use archival, acid-free Permalife 20 Lb. Bond Paper.

Drop Front Metal Edge Boxes are also great for storing 8-1/2 x 11 photographic prints. For added protection, interleave the photos with Buffered Archival Tissue or Archival Thin Paper.

If you have old fragile photos to store, we recommend backing them with Archival Card Stock and storing them inside Crystal Clear Bags inside an archival box. See the photo below as an example. You can also use pencil or an archival pen to write notes on the back of the card stock.

Item #01-532 is also great for storing fragile, vintage photographs.
