A consistent temperature below 75 degrees Fahrenheit (24 degrees Celsius) is preferred. <strong>The lower the temperature the longer your items will last<\/strong>, because cooler temperatures slow the rate of chemical decay and reduce insect activity. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Best Practices for Archival Storage<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: 14pt;\">Relocate your archival materials out of basements, attics, and garages as soon as possible. Put them somewhere in your main living space.
