Genealogy Solutions:  Archival Preservation Made in Our Own Facility!

  genealogy       genealogy

So, folks, starting in May of 2015 Archival Methods—the WORLD LEADER in archival products—began to add on to its in-house manufacturing capacities by opening a new, continually expanding facility (see pix above), all in order to keep the production of our museum-quality archival boxes and binders growing—and it was all done RIGHT HERE in the USA.

These capacities have also allowed us to begin to develop NEW archival products, and to offer cool new services like foil stamp embossing of our Onyx Portfolio Boxes and our Museum Solander Cases (more on that in an upcoming blog).

And lastly, by making many of our own acid-free products ourselves, we have YET ANOTHER opportunity to practice STRICT QUALITY CONTROL, all with the goal of making the genealogy storage and presentation materials YOU need the best available ANYWHERE!

‘Nuff said.

So, fast-forward to today, and that big empty warehouse in the top pix is now a fully-equipped manufacturing facility, teeming with activity as we build—one at a time, by hand!—the BEST archival boxes and binders used the world over by trained museum professionals / internationally known artists / and by YOU in your practice of genealogy and family archiving.

With this short background, let’s take a quick look at just two of the fine archival products we’re now making—literally across the street from our main office and warehouse.

While there are many others that will be covered in upcoming blogs (so stay tuned!), today we’ll look at two that are PERFECTLY suited to those interested in genealogy and the archival care of ALL SORTS of materials in one’s family archive: Metal Edge Drop Front Boxes  &  Collector Grade 3-Ring Binders.

So, folks, just what IS a “Drop Front Box?”

Well, as its name implies, the front panel of each of these high-quality workhorse boxes “drops down” (see the red box in the pix above) to allow easy access to your materials WITHOUT having to “dig them out,” which can cause damage to old or fragile family documents, keepsakes, photos, and genealogy materials (please click here to see our short video on these versatile boxes).

OK, so now that you know what a Drop Front Box is, HOW do we make ’em and WHAT TYPES are available?

IS recycled!

Yup, ’nuff said.
