Yes folks, these classically beautiful—and extraordinarily durable!—Museum / Solander Cases have the word “museum” in their name for a reason, as walk into ANY major museum or gallery anywhere in the world and you’ll find them in daily use preserving and presenting the finest artwork and photographs.

Solid, low-resin basswood is used as the foundation of our strong and beautifully functional Museum / Solander Cases. These structural frames were
photographed on our shop floor ahead of being hand-assembled into the finest & strongest archival museum cases available ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD!
(Please click on either pix for more information.)

There is so much to admire in these hand-built archival cases that we wrote an entire blog on them entitled Archival Solution of the Week: Our New & Improved Museum / Solander Case, which you can see by clicking here.

In addition, we’ve also created one of our informative short videos on these wonderful cases, which you can check out here.

portfolios
From 11 x 14″ up to a whopping 30 x 40″ (one of the largest archival cases available ANYWHERE!), these strong yet oh-so-elegant Museum / Solander Cases will showcase ALL your art and photography portfolios – even the really big stuff. They’re perfect for long-term archival storage, too! (Please click on the image for more information.)

Another important aspect of our Museum / Solander Case revolves around the fact that they are available in TEN sizes!

While designed to accommodate many of the most common standard mat sizes (11 x 14″ / 14 x 18″ / 16 x 20″ / 17 x 22″ / 17 x 25″ / 20 x 24″), due to the inherent strength of its construction our Museum Case is also available in VERY LARGE sizes (22 x 28″ / 24 x 30″ / 28 x 36″ / 30 x 40″).

What’s more, since we’re MAKING ‘EM OURSELVES in our OWN facility across the street from Archival Methods HQ, we can make ’em to YOUR custom size needs! We would be happy to provide you with a quote on any custom-sized box you might like, so just visit our Imprints and Custom Products web page for more details and contact us.

From the strong & secure nickel-plated hardware (see pix above), to its “drop down spine” which allows easy & safe access to your work (see pix below), EVERY DETAIL of our Museum / Solander Case was designed and hand-constructed with long-lasting QUALITY in mind.

The “drop down spine” allows access to your matted or unmatted work WITHOUT having to dig things out, which can damage your stuff. (Please click on the image for more information.)

Scrap archival board out-cuts, stacked on pallets and ready for recycling!
(Please click on either image for more information.)

Lastly, while we strive to do our best when it comes to the efficient use of our high-quality raw materials at our in-house manufacturing facility, there is always some waste in terms of archival board out-cuts and such.

Well, we here at Archival Methods are all quite sensitive to environmental concerns, so we go to great lengths to ensure that EVERYTHING that CAN be recycled…

IS recycled!

Yup, ’nuff said.

Well, we hope you’ve found something of interest in our quick tour of some of the portfolios and presentation solutions we’re now making in-house.

We’re already busy creating a whole series of NEW Archival Methods blogs to cover everything imaginable—including more on our home-grown products—so stay tuned!
